A coach who has competed at every level he teaches, from a high school state title to the U.S. World Team.
Peyton Omania grew up wrestling in Concord, California, training under coach Mark Halvorson at De La Salle High School. He was a three-time league champion and two-time section champion before winning a California State Championship in 2018, the first state title in the school's history.
He went on to wrestle at Michigan State University, where he became an NCAA qualifier, earned Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors, and served as team captain. Internationally, Peyton has made eight U.S. World Teams. He is one of a small group of American wrestlers to make a world team at every level of the sport: cadet, junior, U23, and senior. He won bronze at the 2019 Junior World Championships, took back-to-back U23 National titles, and reached the finals at the 2026 U.S. Open.
Today he coaches throughout Orange County, teaching wrestling lessons and strength and conditioning. He is mobile and travels to athletes' homes. He also trains athletes who hold a membership at the Orange County Regional Training Center (OCRTC).
Made at least one world team at every level of the sport: cadet, junior, U23, and senior.
